It is part of Atomic, a thoughtful new collection in the Factory Floor Jewels Couture range.  It includes the use of  aluminium swarf – a waste material from the manufacture of a new telescope by Liverpool John Moores University that is destined to explore the skies from La Palma.

Set in recycled silver, the swarf creates a mesmerizing depth within each piece, evoking the vastness of the night sky.  The intricate details of this 15mm wide pendant draw you closer, as if peering into the cosmos itself.  The pendant looks superb when paired with the matching Silver Ear Studs – the perfect space inspired gift

Factory Floor Jewels is a growing UK jewellery brand by independent design-maker Kate Stewart.  Each piece is meticulously handmade in her Liverpool studio and tells the story of her fascination with the engineering and marine history of the city.  This fascination stems from her relationship with her engineer father.

Inspired by the enduring strength and beauty of industrial materials and processes, each Factory Floor Jewels collection features an eclectic mix of materials, including silver, steel, brass, and copper, creating jewellery that is both captivating and versatile. Most of the designs begin with scrap or waste materials gathered from local engineering workshops.  FFJ final collections sometimes feature these repurposed materials and all silver used is recycled.
