Steel and Brass Lozenge Lariat

This stunning steel and brass lozenge lariat is part of a new collection called H₅O (in honour of my friend Helen’s 50th birthday).

A delicate steel ring (30mm) is juxtasuposed with a brass lozenge on a 67cm steel snake chain and this piece is worn by passing the lozenge through the larger circle.  The lariat design has become a constant in the Factory Floor Jewels collections and everyone wears them differently.  You can wear the circle higher or lower depending on the neckline of the outfit you are pairing it with. You can even wear the lozenge inside your top.

Steel is such a remarkable material to use for jewellery because it bypasses the ‘last thing to put on and first thing to take off’ rule.  This is because steel is not easily affected by the chemicals of day to day life.  You can wear it to play sports and then jump in the shower and your lotions and potions won’t affect it’s subtle silver/grey tones.
